Biography

Carolyn Greenhalgh, osteopathCarolyn Greenhalgh trained for 3 years at Oxford Brookes University and graduated with a BSc degree in Osteopathy in January 1999.

 

She is registered with The General Osteopathic Council Ref no 3/3774/F and is a Full Member of the British Osteopathic Association.


Her original interest in Osteopathy began as a child of seven years of age, after suffering lower back problems herself.


Carolyn began her career as a Fitness Instructor working in gyms and health centres. During which she trained at The Northern Institute of Massage, qualifying in 1992 as a Remedial Massage Therapist.


Before embarking on her Osteopathic training, she worked in private practice as a Remedial Massage Therapist acquiring Cranio-sacral Therapy I and Cranio-sacral Therapy II with The Upledger Institute in 1994 and 1995 respectively.


During her 3-year BSc degree at Oxford Brookes University she received an Advanced Remedial Massage diploma at The Oxford School Of Osteopathy and a Manipulative Therapy diploma a year later.

 

Carolyn attends post graduate courses mainly developing Osteopathic Technique, however, she has also studied and keeps a particular interest in exercise programmes including

- Core-Stability (Pilates) for management and maintenance,

- Basic Nutrition,

- Osteopathic treatment for those suffering with Glue Ear (Otitis Media),

- and the use of Orthotics (insoles) as part of a Bio-Mechanical Assessment with a Podiatrist.

 

She has most recently studied with Averille Morgan in Osteopathy and Pregnancy Care.

 

Carolyn lives in Gee Cross with her partner Paul and son William.
