Biography
Dr Aoiffe Kilcommons, the founder of Happiness in Mind, offers effective and practical help for people wanting lasting happiness, peace and empowerment in their lives.
Working in mental health since 1998, Aoiffe is a chartered Clinical Psychologist, Reiki Master, Voice Dialogue facilitator and Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner, and is passionate about healing and using what works to help others achieve their full potential and their heart’s desires.
A wide range of emotional, physical & relationship issues can be addressed, including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship issues, illness and lots more.
Happiness in mind offers a range of evidence-based psychological therapies (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Compassionate Focused Therapies), Reiki Healing/Training, Stress Management and other cutting edge approaches for lasting happiness and physical well-being.
Qualifications/Training
Aoiffe’s comprehensive training as a Clinical Psychologist spanned ten years and involved completing an undergraduate degree and a Masters degree in Psychology at the University of Manchester and the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool. Since qualifying she has also completed a two year Post-graduate Diploma in Cognitive Analytic Therapy. Alongside this, Aoiffe’s interest in holistic approaches to healing led her to train and qualify as a Reiki Master/ Teacher, Voice Dialogue Facilitator - Level 3 and Emotional Freedom Techniques Level 11 Practitioner.
Aoiffe is a registered with the Health Professions Council, and is a chartered member of British Psychological Society, British and Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), ACAT and is registered treatment provider with all major health insurance companies. Aoiffe also works part-time as Clinical Psychologist for the NHS. She is highly committed to her own personal development and continuing professional development.
