Biography
Amanda has been involved with sports since being a keen cross country runner in school, and this took her to become a fitness instructor in 1999, where she ran classes on cruise ships and trained colleagues to achieve their fitness goals. A number of injuries incurred by Amanda and her colleagues onboard led her to develop a deeper interest in their rehabilitation, and “Swedish” massage became a hobby. Further down the line this progressed to deep tissue and sports massage, and having worked in a number of rugby clubs decided to add remedial works and injury management to her skills and completed studies to become a Level 5 Sports Therapist, now running her own practice and taking care of the players at Stockport Rugby Club.
Amanda provides a comprehensive list of treatments to include a variety of massage, advice on rehabilitation following an injury, and postural correction using myofascial techniques.
